While earning my law degree, I served as Editor in Chief of the Texas Journal of Women & the Law, on the Executive Board of the Abuse Survivors Assistance Program, and was named a Pro Bono Superstar by the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law. After many fond memories made, I graduated in 2013 having attained official double-Longhorn status.
Immediately following graduation, I moved north to join the Queens County District Attorney’s Office in New York City and spent three years prosecuting cases involving domestic violence and human trafficking. I then took my experience to the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, turning my focus to the prosecution of sex crimes and child abuse cases in Brooklyn.
Though you can take the girl out of Texas, you just can’t take the Texas out of the girl. I am very happy to be back in Austin advocating on behalf of families in times of crisis, and I look forward to working with you.
